Albuterol Sulfate Inhalation Solution, 0.5% Albuterol is a bronchodilator that relaxes muscles in the airways and increases air flow to the lungs. Albuterol is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm. It may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Manufacturer may vary from product shown. Used in conjuction with a nebulizer. Prescription items are NON-RETURNABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. - CAUTIONS/WARNINGS:Side Effects: May see increased heart rate, tremors, excitement, restlessness, dizziness, or nervousness. These tend to be dose related and mild. Contraindications/Warnings: Not for use in patients hypersensitive (allergic) to it. Use with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure, seizures, heart disease, or abnormal heart rhythms. Monitor potassium levels in the blood, as supplementation may be needed. Not for use in pregnant or nursing animals. - DIRECTIONS:Directions: Follow label instructions or instructions given by your vet.
