Fritz ParaCleanse treats and controls of a wide variety of parasiticdiseases. Use Fritz ParaCleanse for outbreaks of aquatic parasites including velvet (Oodinium dinoflagellates),hole-in-the-head disease(Hexamita spp. & Spironucleus), fish lice, or gill & skin flukes (Dactylogyrus& Gyrodactylus). This treatment is suitable for fresh and saltwater aquariums, and will not discolor the water.

Indications

Use ParaCleanse for outbreaks of aquatic parasites including velvet (Oodinium dinoflagellates), hole-in-the-head disease (Hexamita sp. & Spironucleus), fish lice, or gill & skin flukes (Dactylogyrus & Gyrodactylus).

Consult a veterinarian or fish expert for assistance in diagnosis of disease-causing organisms and treatment options.
All suspected parasitic infections should be treated immediately.

Preparations

  • Use of a hospital tank is recommended.
  • Remove all chemical filtration (carbon, ion exchange resins) and turn off protein skimmer before and during treatment.
  • Maintain aeration and water flow.
  • Do not perform water changes during treatment if possible.
  • Treatment may inhibit nitrifying bacteria. Monitor ammonia and nitrite levels. Ammonia removers such as Fritz A.C.C.R. may be used during treatment.

Directions

  • Add one packet per 10 US gallons (38 L) of water.
  • Repeat dose once after 48 hours even if signs of infection disappear.
  • Perform a 25% water change five days after first dose.
  • If symptoms improve but do not completely disappear, repeat this treatment course once more.

Compatibility

  • Will not harm invertebrates.
  • May be used along with Coppersafe®, Maracyn®, Maracyn®Two or Maracyn®Oxy.
