API® Tap Water Conditioner treatment removes toxins from tap water instantly, so you can add fish to your aquarium (or add them back after a water change) immediately. API Tap Water Conditioner treatment dechlorinates aquarium and tap water, detoxifies heavy metals, and may be used in both fresh and salt water.

Use Instructions

Use when setting up an aquarium, and when adding or changing water. To remove chlorine and detoxify heavy metals: Add 2 drops for each U.S. gallon (3.8 L), or 1/4 tsp. (1.25 ml) per 20 U.S. gallons (76 L) of aquarium water. To detoxify chloramines: Add 6 drops per U.S. gallon (3.8 L) or 3/4 tsp. (3.75 ml) per 20 U.S. gallons (76 L). Heavy metals, such as copper, lead and zinc, can be found in most tap water supplies. These metals are toxic to tropical fish. So treat the aquarium when adding tap water.
