San Francisco Bay Brand® Plankton is a highly nutritious frozen single-ingredient food for freshwater and saltwater fish and invertebrates. This zooplankton species, Euphausia pacifica, is harvested from the northern Pacific and provides an abundant natural source of proteins and lipids.
Plankton naturally contains beta-carotene and other carotenoid pigments, which help bring out the natural coloration of aquarium fish. It also supplies essential fatty acids and amino acids needed for important biological processes, making it a valuable nutritional supplement for carnivorous species.
The natural taste and nutritional profile make Plankton an excellent option for finicky feeders. As part of a varied diet, it helps promote proper growth while supporting high energy levels, vigor, and overall condition.
Recommended for
Saltwater species including Triggers, Puffers, Groupers, Eels, Lionfish, and Angelfish, as well as freshwater species including Central and South American Cichlids, Piranhas, Catfish, Koi, and aquatic turtles. Feed only what can be consumed within approximately three minutes. No thawing or rinsing is required.
