Metronidazole Tablets RX Only Metronidazole is an antibiotic and antiprotozoal agent with for dogs and cats. Treats a number of infections in dogs and cats. Prescription items are NON-RETURNABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. - CAUTIONS/WARNINGS:Known or previously unrecognized candidiasis may present more prominent symptoms during therapy with Metronidazole and requires treatment with a candicidal agent. Prescribing Metronidazole tablets in the absence of a proven or strongly suspected bacterial infection or a prophylactic indication is unlikely to provide benefit to the patient and increases the risk of the development of drug-resistant bacteria. - DIRECTIONS:See package insert for full prescribing information. It is important to take this medication exactly as prescribed although it is common to feel better early in the course of therapy.
