Product Description
Cephalexin Rx Cephalexin is a braod spectrum antibiotic used in cats and dogs. Cephalexin can be used in treatment of urinary tract infections, some respitory infections and skin and soft tissue infections such as abscesses, lacerations or wounds in dogs and cats. Prescription items are NON-RETURNABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE. - CAUTIONS/WARNINGS:Warnings: Do not give to animals who are allergic to penicillin or penicillin-like drugs. Precautions: Cephalosporins have been known to pass through the womb, so use with caution in pregnant animals. Also use with caution in animals with kidney disease. Always give the full dosage as prescribed by your veterianarian. Toxicology: Safe to use in dogs and cats with few side effects. Side Effects: Some animals may experience upset stomach, diarrhea and vomiting. Dogs may also experience excessive salivation, panting or excitability. Cats may also experience a fever greater than 103° F. - DIRECTIONS:Dosage and Administration: Dogs and Cats: Usual dosage is 5-15 mg per pound of pet's body weight every 8-12 hours. The dose your pet should receive will depend on his weight and size, as well as his condition.
